Agares Auto Attendant is now FREEWARE!

I’ve supported myself and my family initially through web design, and then later by selling PHP scripts.  However, I’m more philosophically inclined towards free software, which has presented me with a bit of a moral and ethical quandary, namely, how do I continue to provide for my family without comprimising my ethics.  The solution I arrived at was to continue producing my commercial software until I had enough funds to reinvest in an open source business model.  Then, as the open source business model is followed and implemented, each commercial software would one by one shift into an open source product.  I’ll be talking about this more over the course of the next year or so while this process starts.

This brings us to Agares Auto Attendant, which, as of version 1.2, is freeware.  However, it is not open source as of yet, because the DTMF tone detection library was purchased and it is proprietary.  If a suitable open source DTMF .NET library were available to replace the proprietary library currently used, I would have no problem completely open sourcing Agares Auto Attendant.

Version 1.2 is completed, just needs to be updated and released.
